Field audits · four real businesses
Nobody hired us to look.Read them anyway.
We picked four real local businesses nobody asked us to look at, walked the path their customers walk — the search result, the front door, the way to book — and priced the repair off our public list.
It is the same pass we would make over your business before quoting you a number, except you get to read it before we ever speak.

4 audits · 12 checkpoints · 0 clients
- What this is
- Four outside audits of real, public businesses. We walked the same three checkpoints on each one — the search result, the front door, the way to book. Nobody hired us to.
- What it is not
- Client work, testimonials or delivered results. Brimmscale has no clients yet.
- What the numbers are
- Projections modelled from the leak we found. Each one is labelled where it appears, at reading size, never as small print.
The pair
Same trade. Opposite half missing.
We audited two tattoo studios in two different states and found failures that are exact inversions of each other. One has the demand and none of the machinery: two county titles, bookings taken in Instagram DMs, invisible in search. The other has the machinery and no door: it already pays for booking software, and the address on its listings loads a blank white page. Neither owner would have guessed which half they were missing — which is the whole reason we look before we quote.
Tattoo · Bastrop, Texas
All demand, no machinery
Two county titles. No way to book one.

3 of 3 checkpoints
Search
Leaking
Directories rank first, and a competitor at the same street address ranks above the award winner.
Front door
Leaking
There is no website at all. The front door is somebody else's app.
Booking
Leaking
A DM inbox and a phone that rings mid-session. Nothing holds a deposit, so a no-show costs the whole chair.
- Already has
- Two county titles and a queue of people who already want in
- Missing
- Any way to book that is not a DM or a ringing phone

Tattoo · DeFuniak Springs, Florida
All machinery, no door
The booking software works. The website loads blank.

Holds
Directory entries, business cards and old flyers all still route people to the address.
Front door
Leaking
That address loads a blank white page. Anyone who clicks it concludes the shop closed.
Booking
Holds
A booking tool is already paid for and running — with nothing pointing customers at it.
- Already has
- Booking software, paid for monthly and working fine
- Missing
- A homepage that is not a blank white screen

The others
Two more, in trades with nothing in common.
A kitchen that opens at 5 AM and a veterinary practice that has been open since 1984. Different customers, different money, identical method: find where the business already earned the demand, then find what is dropping it on the floor.
Restaurant · Luling, Texas
One phone line, one order at a time
Open at 5 AM. Reachable only if the line is free.

Search
Leaking
The only order-ahead option in town is a delivery app, and it takes a cut of every ticket.
Front door
Leaking
No menu online. A driver deciding at highway speed has nothing to read.
Booking
Leaking
Ordering ahead means calling during the busiest ninety minutes of the day. Catering runs on Messenger threads.
- Already has
- A breakfast crowd already awake and already hungry at 5 AM
- Missing
- Any way to order that does not need the line to be free

Veterinary · Gonzales, Texas
Four decades of proof, unpublished
Forty-two years of goodwill. The site says “Coming Soon.”

Search
Leaking
Nothing on the site answers someone searching for a large-animal vet in the county — which is how that work gets found.
Front door
Leaking
The testimonials section has read “Coming Soon” long enough to be indexed that way.
Booking
Leaking
No request form. The only path in is a phone call during the hours the clinic is busiest.
- Already has
- Forty-two years of trust across an entire county
- Missing
- One published review, and one request form that works at night

What the repair costs
Four repairs, off the published list.
Nothing here was quoted for the occasion: every plan below is the one we would sell you, at the price printed on /pricing.
Tattoo · Bastrop, Texas
All demand, no machinery
The demand already exists. This is a one-page front door with a booking form, not a rebuild.

Half the system is already paid for and running. This buys the missing half — the door.

Two practices under one roof, pets and livestock, means real pages rather than one. Two extra appointments a month pays for it.

- Autopilot

Every month
One or the other, never both, and never required. Care keeps what you bought fast, safe and updated; Autopilot also answers the calls and messages that arrive while the shop is dark.
The same pass, over your business.
Tell us your trade and your town. We walk your three checkpoints, build the homepage they point to, and send you both — before there is anything to sign, and yours to keep either way.
